QUAD ERA-1 Thread

When I bought my Mjolnir3 I wanted a balanced cable for the ERA1, and I bought one at hartaudiocables.com .

Been using that for a couple of months now, and I am very pleased with it. Set me back about a hundred bucks, sounds a little more detailed than the original cable and it looks/feels solid enough.. No problem shipping from USA to Europe either, took about three weeks total (from order to delivery)..

Probably not the 'best' cable, but for the price an OK product.

There was something off with my cable (2ohm difference from left to right), plus the ergonomics aren't that great, though better then the cable which comes with the T1.2 cable. ^^

Noir Hybrid HPC is this one of the best cables for quad era 1?
I can't comment on "the best for".
Maybe the Noir HPC could be a better pick, eventually, but I'm not sure about.

But it is a stellar build cable, soft, without any tendencies to twist. It flows down the chest, so to say. :)
Braiding is top notch.
The main part was, that it has fit at my D7200/D9200 at the time and my Monitor 5.
Haven't tried it on my FT3, but will.

Price for this 2.5m cable was nearly 245 € on Black Friday Sale back in 2019.

Can't remember of any.
You'd need the mounting rings, from another set or selfmade with a 3d printer. :)

Once you have a set, have a look at ZMF pads.
There're many options available, leather perforated or suede perforated in particular.
My recommendation is the lambskin Universe pad for now.
But I've some other ZMF Lambskin pads in my possession, which I've yet to test.

How does one go about getting replacement Velour pads? Seems they're not the kind of thing you can just order from amazon or alixpress
Have a look at Dekoni Elite Hybrid pads for DT1990.
It looks quite close to the Quad velour pads.

Just peel off the old ones off the mounting ring and reattach the new ones. :)
